The Man Behind the Mission
Our 16-year-old founder brings enthusiasm and commitment to The Flying Box
Hey, I’m Maanit! I’m a 16-year-old high school student based in Dubai who loves physics, aviation, and sustainability. I also love listening to music and watching soccer matches. My journey with the world of aviation started four years ago in a product design classroom in school, where I built glider planes made out of balsa wood. This interactive experience helped me discover my passion for aviation for the very first time, and from there, my interests and projects have branched out to all sorts of new ideas and initiatives.
This simple yet transformative experience in the seventh grade motivated me to create The Flying Box. I want to replicate the same spark I had for aviation and sustainability in the eyes of hundreds of students across the UAE and beyond, and provide them with interactive experiences just like the wooden planes that glided through the air all those years ago. I believe that education from an early age has the power to shape perspectives, ignite curiosity, and inspire the next generation of innovators who will design a more sustainable future for aviation and our planet.

Our Journey
How we turned a passion into an impactful product
The idea of The Flying Box was born; we completed the 3D model of the first model (Airbus A350)
Most of the physical product was created, including the illustrative booklet, model, and packaging
Prepare for takeoff! The final physical version of The Flying Box was ready for pilot testing
Approval and pilot testing in Dubai International Academy, Al Barsha; received positive feedback
We hope to have reached at least seven schools in Dubai and distribute over 50 model plane kits
We hope to have reached more schools in Dubai, expand to India, and distribute over 200 kits
